TRANSPARENT SHELL · WIFI · DUAL SYSTEM —
4.2" IPS · THREE FIRSTS IN ONE
4.2" IPS · Transparent shell · WiFi built-in · Dual system multi-emulator · 128GB · From $119
→ Why we chose this: the only device in the iGC lineup that combines a transparent shell, WiFi connectivity, and dual-system multi-emulator architecture in a single unit. 4.2" IPS — larger than any standard R36-series screen. The R36H Promax is the maximum-feature transparent handheld.
🔍
Transparent + WiFi?
No other iGC device combines a transparent shell with WiFi. R36H Horizon has transparent but no WiFi. R36XX has WiFi but no transparent. The Promax has both.
Only option →
Dual system?
Dual-system architecture runs multiple emulator cores simultaneously — not sequential. Switch between system profiles without a full reboot. Pre-configured for GBA through PSP across both system layers.
Dual power →
🌐
WiFi + see-through design?
RetroAchievements, online multiplayer, ROM scraping — all through a transparent translucent shell. The most feature-rich transparent handheld in the iGC lineup.

3-STAGE LAB CALIBRATION PROTOCOL

STAGE 01
FIRMWARE BURN-IN — 2-Hour Dual System + WiFi Stability

iGC dual-system build subjected to 2-hour burn-in with both system layers active and WiFi running simultaneously. Thermal governor calibrated for the combined dual-system + WiFi + 4.2" display power draw. The dual-system architecture adds CPU overhead vs single-system builds — burn-in specifically tests stability under this combined load. Units exhibiting crash events, system-switch failures, or WiFi dropout under dual-system load are rejected.

STAGE 02
INPUT CALIBRATION — ≤6ms Threshold on 4.2" Layout

Every button and D-pad direction tested to ≤6ms actuation threshold on the 4.2" form factor layout. The larger screen requires a slightly wider button layout — calibration validates that the increased button spacing does not introduce actuation delay. Units exceeding 10ms on any input are rejected.

STAGE 03
STORAGE INTEGRITY — 128G Dual-System Library Validated

SanDisk Industrial V30 128G validated via H2testw — zero bad sectors. 128G library spot-checked across both system profiles: GBA, SNES, PS1, N64 on System 1; PSP, Dreamcast, Arcade on System 2. Both profiles verified functional before shipment.

EXPERT SPEC ANALYSIS

DISPLAY + SHELL UNIT
4.2" IPS Transparent — Largest Transparent Screen in R36H

4.2" IPS transparent polycarbonate shell — 20% more viewing area than the R36H Horizon 3.5" and larger than any standard R36-series screen. The translucent shell reveals the PCB through a tinted polycarbonate. 3 translucent color options: Blue, Black, Purple. IPS panel with ±80° viewing angle.

DUAL SYSTEM UNIT
Dual-System Architecture — Two Profiles, One Device

Dual-system multi-emulator architecture maintains two independent emulator profile layers simultaneously. System 1 handles the primary retro core stack (GBA, SNES, PS1, N64). System 2 handles the extended stack (PSP, Dreamcast, Arcade, N64 alternate). Switch between profiles without a full reboot. Both profiles pre-configured and library-loaded at the iGC lab.

■ FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What does “Dual System” mean on the R36H Promax?
Dual-system means the device runs two independent emulator profile layers. System 1 handles the primary core stack (GBA, SNES, PS1, N64). System 2 handles the extended stack (PSP, Dreamcast, Arcade). You can switch between the two profile layers without performing a full reboot. Both profiles come pre-configured and library-loaded from the iGC lab. It is not a dual-boot — it is a dual-profile multi-emulator architecture within the same OS build.
What is the difference between R36H Promax and R36H Horizon?
Both have transparent shells. Three differences: R36H Promax adds WiFi (Horizon has no WiFi); R36H Promax adds dual-system architecture (Horizon is single-system); R36H Promax has a 4.2" screen (Horizon is 3.5"). The Horizon has 8 color options (Promax has 3). If you want transparent + WiFi + dual system, the Promax is the only option. If you want maximum color choices on a transparent device, the Horizon has 8 colors.
Does the R36H Promax have WiFi?
Yes — WiFi is built in and pre-activated on the iGC build. Supports RetroAchievements live tracking, online multiplayer via RetroArch Netplay, ROM scraping, and save sync. The R36H Horizon Edition (transparent, no WiFi) and the R36H Promax (transparent, WiFi) are the two transparent options — only the Promax includes WiFi.
Is the transparent shell on the Promax the same as the Horizon?
Same material, different size and color options. Both use UV-stable tinted polycarbonate that lets you see the PCB through the case. The Promax has a 4.2" shell (larger) in 3 colors (Blue, Black, Purple). The Horizon has a 3.5" shell in 8 colors. Both are genuine transparent — not a frosted finish or etched effect.
Is the R36H Promax good out of the box?
Yes — ships ready to play. Both system profiles pre-configured. WiFi pre-activated. 128GB card with 15,000+ games pre-loaded across both profiles. GBA and PS1 run at locked 60fps immediately. Dual-system switching works out of the box. Power on and play.
